1. Open Google Maps

2. Search for landfills or scrap yards nearby.

3. Pick one; call the listed phone number.

4. Speak to Mike.

5. Inquire if you can come collect metal parts. (The answer is yes, but only if you come within 30 minutes, get your shoes on and go!)

6. Walk into the industrial part of town. (Just a few blocks down the road.)

7. Ask for Mike.

8. Be introduced to Edgar, who will give you gloves and help you collect loose metal fragments. (He will also ask you if you know who Jesus is. Don't forget to be struck by his kindness.)

9. Offer to pay for your collection.

10. Be told that it is free.

11. Return home successfully.

12. Use the materials however you see fit.
